“Dividing Bodies”

The jacket splits and displaces elements of the classic trenchcoat with unexpected proportions. The pants envision a pair of blue jeans stepping out of dress slacks. They clothe a body that is morphing and expanding, responding to common depictions of ineffable hallucinations while playing on classic combinations of outwear.

Made from fabric scraps from FabScraps, the coat is made from a rubber coates woven, while the pants are made of twill with denim panels. The rubber texture simulates skin, blending outerwear wear with the flesh underneath.
